There is a saying, " you can't expect you from people." I say this is not true. You can pray to God for anything, including your expectations of people to be granted. If I am a blessing to you, please be one to me. Blessings do not necessarily mean money. For example, if I am an excellent confidant to you, please be the same to me. If I am your place of peace, I want you to be my place of peace. We all know that everyone comes with some baggage, which is ok; I hope you unpack soon. I am only saying that I do not want your issues to affect my livelihood, growth, and peace. I pray that my issues are not affecting yours. I want us to give good vibes while being there for one another equally.
I expect respect, trust, genuineness, and effective communication. I do not expect hate, lies, and the short end of the sticks. I expect a two-way street and not a one-way road of me giving and you taking. So, if I am giving you the positive, I expect the positive in return. No one wants to hang around to be used and abused.
Are you giving what you are expecting? Are you praying to God for the things you expect from people? Well, you should. Stop crying about it and pray about it.
