A Kiss from Rose | Nineveh Corporate Fast Instructions & Information

alstonshropshire3

Below is all of the information for the upcoming fast. There will be no messages going out during the fast. This message includes some prayers and scriptures as a guide. It also provides guidance on how to structure your day if this is your first time fasting. This is a lot of information; however, I am trying to keep everything in one place as I will not be available to respond to questions during this particular fast.

Please come up with your customized reasoning for what you are fasting for. Usually, we come up with that for you, but everyone is in need of something different.

The information from the email is included in this correspondence.

Grandma’s Corner Encouragement – A Kiss from Rose

Grandma always said, ‘A fast with faith is like a letter to heaven, signed, sealed, and waiting for an answer.’ Let this fast be your letter—expect God to respond.

Stay encouraged, stay committed, and expect a mighty move of God!

Dates: March 11–13, 2025

Time: Begins March 11 at 6:00 AM and ends March 13 at 6:00 PM

Type of Fast: Water-Only Fast

Purpose of the Nineveh Fast

This fast is a time of corporate repentance, seeking God’s mercy, and realigning ourselves with His will. Some may not have been obedient to the New Year Fast or Lent, but God is still calling us to humble ourselves, pray, and seek His face (2 Chronicles 7:14). This is an opportunity for those who desire to consecrate themselves and draw near to Him.

Just as the people of Nineveh repented and turned away from their wicked ways, we will use this time to:

• Repent for personal and collective disobedience (Jonah 3:5-10)

• Seek God’s mercy and favor

• Realign our hearts with His purpose

• Break spiritual strongholds and distractions

• Prepare for the new season ahead

Biblical Foundation

Jonah 3:5-10 – When Jonah warned Nineveh of coming destruction, the people, from the king to the least of them, humbled themselves in fasting, prayer, and repentance. As a result, God spared them from judgment.

This fast is a response to God’s call for repentance and alignment. He is merciful and willing to relent from judgment when we sincerely turn back to Him.

Instructions for the Fast

1. Commit to a Water-Only Fast

• Drink only water for three days (72 hours) from March 11 at 6:00 AM to March 13 at 6:00 PM.

• No solid foods, juices, or other beverages.

• If necessary, herbal teas with no sweeteners may be taken for health reasons.

2. Prepare Spiritually and Physically

• Begin reducing heavy meals and caffeine before the fast.

• Spend dedicated time in prayer, worship, and scripture reading.

• Repent of personal and collective sins.

• Avoid distractions (social media, excessive entertainment).

3. Seek Medical Advice If You Have Health Concerns

• If you have preexisting health conditions (diabetes, pregnancy, medications, etc.), consult a doctor before fasting.

• Modify the fast as needed (e.g., include light broth or fruit if medically necessary).

• Listen to your body and use wisdom and caution.

4. Engage in Daily Prayer and Reflection

• Morning: Begin with gratitude, repentance, and reading Jonah 3 and 2 Chronicles 7:14.

• Midday: Pray for God’s mercy, personal renewal, and corporate alignment.

• Evening: Worship and seek revelation for the next steps in your spiritual walk.

5. Breaking the Fast (March 13, 6:00 PM)

• Break your fast gradually with light foods (broth, fruit, vegetables).

• Avoid heavy or greasy meals immediately after fasting.

• Reflect on what God has spoken during the fast and apply it to your life.

Expected Outcome of the Fast

• Renewed Spiritual Alignment: A fresh awareness of God’s direction for our lives.

• Personal and Corporate Breakthroughs: Areas of struggle and stagnation will be broken as we seek Him.

• God’s Mercy and Favor: Just as Nineveh was spared, we believe God will move in our lives as we humble ourselves before Him.

• Spiritual Strength and Sensitivity: Increased clarity, wisdom, and discernment in decision-making.

This fast is not about legalism but about surrendering to God and allowing Him to transform us. If you feel led to participate, commit with your whole heart and expect God to move!

A Powerful Prayer for the Nineveh Fast

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging our need for Your mercy. Just as the people of Nineveh repented and turned from their ways, we bow before You in fasting and prayer, seeking Your grace and favor.

Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have been disobedient, distracted, and distant from Your will. Wash us clean of our sins, renew our spirits, and set us back on the path of righteousness.

Father, we cry out for divine intervention in our lives, our families, and our communities. Break every chain, remove every burden, and cancel every plan of the enemy. Let this fast be a turning point—one where we step into a new level of faith, obedience, and spiritual clarity.

Lord, just as You showed mercy to Nineveh, hear our cries and relent from any judgment that may be upon us. We ask for Your covering, protection, and provision. May we emerge from this fast stronger, wiser, and more aligned with Your perfect will.

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust that as we seek You with our whole hearts, You will answer us and show us great and mighty things (Jeremiah 33:3).

In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

Grandma’s Corner Encouragement – A Kiss from Rose

A praying grandmother is a covering that cannot be replaced. When you were a child, you didn’t always understand why she called you to kneel by the bedside, but now you see—her prayers were a hedge of protection, a shield against battles you didn’t even know were coming. A kiss from Rose was never just a kiss; it was a seal of God’s favor over your life.

From “Grandma’s Corner: A Kiss from Rose”, let this fast be your spiritual covering, just like the prayers of a grandmother who intercedes for her family. This fast is a time to stand in the gap—for yourself, your family, and generations to come.

Let us humble ourselves before God and seek His mercy together.
