How long will you use or misuse the people God sent to you? How long will you manipulate things for your good? How long will you sacrifice the peace of others for your gain?
So many think this message is not for them but can name others who may fit the bill. Well, let's all wear the shoe for this message today. How long? A short-term gain over a long-term goal. The goal should be to cultivate relationships. The goal should be to be there for the long haul and to bring peace. Causing stress on others should never sit right with anyone. Using or misusing others should never sit right with anyone.
Choosing to make these decisions means we have lost sight of God. We have somehow forgotten that God is watching us and our interactions with His people.
People do these things not knowing if God will intervene.
If you knew God would jump in and say not today when you are about to use your mother or father, would you?
If you knew God would jump in and say not today, when you are about to use your friend, would you?
If you knew God would jump in and say not today when you are about to use your spouse, would you?
If in the middle of your mental, physical, or emotional abuse on someone, God jumps in and shows Himself and says not today; I am stepping in on their behalf. How would you pan out? How long will you continue to do these things?
It is all fun and games until God steps in. It is a misunderstanding and an explanation when God shows up.
Thank you for wearing the shoes for a moment to grasp the message entirely.
Before we wear the shoes of using and misusing others in real life, let me remind you that God is always there. God is constantly testing us to see whether we will do the right thing. God is in the midst. Do not allow God to jump in while you are in the act of mistreatment.
**Friendly reminder, we are at the end November; let's not forget to select one day you will fast from 8-12 noon. Also, please do not forget to save. This is our financial fast, and faith without work is dead. Amen? Amen!
